Will I be charged for a coach hire quote?
The quote given is a free, no-obligation quote.

How can I get a coach hire quote?
You can obtain a price quote by filling out our quote form, via e mail or over the phone. If you have a complex itinerary, we recommend that you email us.

How long is my quote valid?
All quotes are subject to time and availability. Our quotes are valid for 48 hours, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

How long does it take to get coach hire quote?
We can offer a guide coach hire price as soon as we have gone over your enquiry. For straight forward transfers we can quote immediately over the phone.

Why did my quote change?
All free no obligation quotes are guide prices. Once you proceed to book your vehicles, we take the complete details and consider all factors that may affect your transfers. Often, once the complete details are furnished, transfer mileage and journey times change. There can also be route restrictions and/or local authority charges. Furthermore, the date(s) of your transfer(s) may be key event date(s)/busier date(s) causing limited availability. All these factors may contribute to why the final quote may differ from the initial quote.

I got a cheaper quote elsewhere. Why is my Speciality Coach Hire quote higher?
In the travel/ transport industries, there are all manners of operators servicing all tiers of requirements. Basic, no frill companies are able to cut cost whereas to maintain a modern, well maintained fleet and a high level of service costs more. Essentially what you pay for is what you get.

Can I view my vehicle before hiring?
We only assign vehicles once a booking is confirmed. We will not be able to confirm the vehicle to be assigned for a potential booking as it is yet to be allotted. Our company representatives can give you a general idea but not the exact vehicle to be assigned.

What areas does Speciality Coach Hire cover?
Speciality Coach Hire covers All of UK and Europe. Other than our Head Office, we have local regional offices which oversee our local, national and international transfers.

What are the accepted forms of payment for private hire?
We accept the following modes of payment: Bank transfer, Card details over the phone Card via Secure payment Link. 2020 has seen us go paperless. We no longer accept payments via cheque, unless in the case of special pre-agreed exceptional circumstances.
Currently we are only taking Bank Transfer payments and only for minibuses cash on the day only if a deposit has been paid. 

Can we pay after the hire?
No, we require payment to be made before the hire. We do not allocate resources to chasing outstanding balances.

Are passengers allowed to eat and drink onboard? Is alcohol allowed?
There is a no eating policy on our coaches. Drinking water is permitted. Speciality Coach Hire appreciates that different groups have different requirements and we do tend to be flexible. It must be indicated at the time of booked whether passengers will be partaking food and/or drinks. Food served is to be packed/ packages and drinks must be in bottles/boxes.
Alcohol is not allowed on our coaches. We do make exceptions. Please contact one of our office reps for further information or refer to our terms and conditions of hire page.

Is smoking allowed onboard Speciality Coach Hire coaches?
Speciality Coach Hire has a strict no-smoking-at-all-times policy.

What happens if I want to cancel my booking with Speciality Coach Hire?
Speciality Coach Hire requires a written request for cancellation of bookings. Please refer to our terms and conditions of hire page for further information regarding the cancellation of a booking.

Do you accommodate passengers with disabilities?
If there are any differently abled or specially abled passengers travelling, please consult your booking agent. Our coaches often work in rotation and/or follow detailed itineraries. While we do have accessible coaches, we do not have them available at all premises.

Can animals travel on the coaches?
We do accommodate animals. We require them to be in a box or a cage. Any animals brought onboard and any damage/soilage they may cause is entirely the responsibility of the hirer. The animal(s) must be attended to at ALL times.

Can extra passengers be accommodated on the coach?
The number of passengers is required to be confirmed at the time of the booking. If there are to be any additions, you must notify us immediately. The number of passengers must never exceed the number of seats on the vehicle.

Is waiting time included in the hire? Can I extend the hire on the day?
While we do allow a certain degree of flexibility, extra wait time or extension of hire are not inclusive services. There are extra charges for the extra services. Depending on the situation you may need to contact the company office. In certain situations, our drivers are authorized to act in the capacity of company representatives. If we are able to, we do our utmost to accommodate any hire requirements. This may not always be possible if we have prior engagements.

How can I be sure my coach won’t break down?
This is an assurance that no provider can offer. We do our utmost to ensure this does not happen for your hire. We offer well maintained, modern coaches and assign back up vehicles, where able.

Can an infant/child sit on a parent’s lap?
No. All passengers must be seated.

What happens if my coach and driver are not the pickup location? What if I can’t get through to my driver?
We generally operate so as your vehicle and driver will contact you prior to the hire and will be present 10-15 minutes prior to the given collection time. Your driver will not answer if he is driving. If he doesn’t answer feel free to leave a text message and he will answer when able. If you don’t see the vehicle and driver, please contact the company for updates. We will do our utmost that your hire is a pleasant experience all round. The company doesn’t take responsibility for unforeseen events such as roadworks, traffic congestion, accidents etc.

Can you do multiple pick-ups/drop offs? Will they cost extra?
Yes. We offer these services. We will require additional details and/or a complete itinerary and we will confirm the costs accordingly. If you have a feasible itinerary, we can cover it as per your travel requirements.

Is VAT included?
No VAT is not included in the quote.
